Ground Nut (Shelled)

Groundnuts, also known as peanuts, are nutrient-rich oilseed crops widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. The edible seeds develop underground inside pods, making them unique among crops. Shelled groundnuts have a reddish-brown skin and an oval shape, with a crunchy texture and a mild, nutty flavor.

They are an excellent source of protein, healthy fats, dietary fiber, vitamins like B-complex, and minerals such as magnesium and phosphorus. Groundnuts are commonly consumed raw, roasted, or boiled, and are also used for extracting oil, preparing snacks, sweets, and various food products.

Due to their high oil content and nutritional value, they play an important role in both household consumption and commercial markets, especially for farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) involved in bulk trading and value addition.
