Desi Khand

Deshi Khand (or Desi Khand, Khandsari) is a traditional, unrefined, and organic form of sugar made from sugarcane juice that is minimally processed, often using chemical-free, traditional methods like crystallization and filtration with milk and water. It retains more of the natural molasses, minerals (like iron, magnesium, and potassium), and fibers found in sugarcane, giving it a distinct color, aroma, and rich flavor compared to white refined sugar. Deshi Khand serves as a healthier alternative to refined sugar and is used in a variety of culinary applications, from sweetening beverages to baking.
