IPOMEA MORNIMG GLORY BLUE - 3GM

Light & Location

Sunlight

Requires 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal flowering.

Ideal Spots

Garden fences, trellises, balconies, or any vertical space with good sun exposure.

🌱 Soil & Seed Preparation

Soil Type

Prefers well-draining soil; sandy or loamy soil works best.

Seed Prep

Nick the seed coat or soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before planting to improve germination speed.

🌿 Planting Instructions

Sowing Time

Indoors

Start seeds 4–6 weeks before the last frost.

Outdoors

Direct sow after the last frost in mid to late spring.

Seed Depth

Sow seeds about ¼ inch deep.

Spacing

Space plants 6–12 inches apart to allow room for vine spread.

Watering & Care

Watering

Keep soil moderately moist, especially during germination. Avoid waterlogging.

Fertilizing

Use a balanced fertilizer sparingly; too much nitrogen can reduce flowering.

Support & Growth

Support Structure

Provide a trellis, fence, or arbor—Ipomoea vines grow rapidly and can reach 10–15 feet in a season.

Pruning

Trim back excess growth to encourage bushier vines and more blooms.

Flowering & Maintenance

Bloom Time

Typically blooms from early summer to fall.

Deadheading

Not required, but removing spent flowers can tidy the plant.

Pests/Diseases

Generally pest-resistant; watch for aphids or fungal issues in overly damp conditions.
