As per Vaastu Shastra, the Diya should be kept facing the southeast direction. This helps to keep Vaastu related defects at bay while welcoming prosperity and happiness in the house at the same time. Religious Hindu texts also stress on the fact that lighting up an diya daily helps to ward off evil forces. The brass and borosilicate glass combination gives the Diya an elegant look while its flame creates a serene ambience. Brass has been known from time immemorial to be an excellent conductor of positive energy. This metal also has the ability keep your house free of negative energy while filling it with positive vibes at the same time. On the other hand, the glass renders excellent burning clarity with brighter light.Fill the Diya with sesame or mustard oil or ghee at regular intervals so that the flame does not die out. Make sure that you keep the lamp closed at all times. Thick wicks last longer than thinner ones and consume lesser oil or ghee. Do not reburn a wick that has gone off and use a new one in its place. Our Akhand Diya is undoubtedly the best choice to light up during special occasions or festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali pooja and Navaratri when you want the Diya to remain lit the whole night. The Diya must be washed under clean running water and cleaned using mild liquid soap and a brass cleaning powder or soft cloth.
