About this product

The Chakla is an essential kitchen item which is used every day for rolling out fluffy chapattis, mouth-watering paranthas, deep fried puris and bhaturas and crisp papads. My design is based on traditional ideas of what makes a good chakla. It is made of a superior solid piece of white marble that is hand-carved by a master craftsman in Jaipur. The petalled motif that decorates the rim is proportional to its size. The smooth surface is slightly raised in the centre; this helps the roti to rotate
