Desi Ghee

Desi ghee has a unique texture and look and is made from the clarified butter of cow's milk. When melted, it usually looks like a creamy liquid that is golden yellow in color. At room temperature, it solidifies into a creamy consistency. Because of its high fat content, its texture is thick and velvety, frequently referred to as luxurious.

Desi ghee is highly valued in terms of nutrition since it contains saturated fats, which comprise medium- and long-chain fatty acids as well as short-chain fatty acids like butyric acid. It is a concentrated source of fat-soluble vitamins, like A, D, E, and K, which are necessary for blood coagulation, immunity, bone health, and vision, among other body functions.

Desi ghee is highly regarded in Ayurvedic medicine for its therapeutic qualities, which are thought to balance the doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) and facilitate digestion. In skincare routines, it is also applied externally to nourish and hydrate the skin, encouraging a healthy complexion.
