Living With the Forests is a seven-day, community-led learning journey in Sepi, on the edge of Singalila National Park. It invites participants to experience the forest not simply as wilderness, but as a lived landscape shaped by food, livelihoods, memory, faith and generations of local knowledge. Through forest walks, hands-on workshops, shared meals and conversations with community knowledge keepers, participants explore chhurpi-making, silviculture, bamboo craft, medicinal plants, Kirati history and local ecological practices. The journey also includes a nature hike to Gurdum, community music and an interaction at Samten Monastery. More than a conventional tour, the programme offers a slower and more meaningful way to understand the relationships between forests and the people who live with them.
